Ode' to our first house.....

"Ode' to my First House"

When driving in my car the other day, late on a Wednesday afternoon, I was listening to an old but reputable CD I have owned since the ninth grade. It may not be my original copy due to the amount of CD snatching I have experienced in my life but I came across a song that put into words how I feel about my current housing situation. If I had to sum up my feelings and thoughts to my first house it would go a little something like this;

"The world has turned and left me here,
Just where I was before you appeared,
and in your place and empty space,
has filled the void behind my face,

I just made love with your sweet memory,
One thousand times in my head,
You said you loved it more than ever
you said

You remain turned away,
Turning further everyday,
I talked for hours to your wallet photograph
and you just listened,
You laughed enchanted by my intellect
or maybe you didn't,
The world has turned and left me here,
just where I was before you appeared,
and in your place an empty space,
has filled the void behind my face,
Do you believe what I sing now?
Do you believe?"
-Weezer-

Couldn't have put it better myself, sniff, sniff.

Looks like we have a bit of catching up to do.....

So, I happen to hang out with my niece Natalie alot.

Sometimes we get bored and come up with creative ways to occupy ourselfs.

I know we are not the first human beings to come up with the idea however,

Natalie and I did arrive upon this new wave of

MATTRESS SURFING!

We went and watched Miss Amy play softball.

Just a cute picture of niece Natalie

My Dad's birthday,

I made Willie and my Dad's favorite

chocolate cake with the pudding in the middle
and cool whip frosting.

There have been a few nights of sushi and dancing...

Willie's step mom Ada turned 50,
There was a luau in her honor.

They had real hula dancers and fire throwers, so cool.

My hubs and I.

We headed up to Flagstaff for my cousin's graduation,

We loved the change in weather.

Willie and I decorated Tiff's car for a surprise,
I don't know which was more embarrassing; The car being decorated
or the actual decoration I bought at the 99 cent store.
My cousin Tiffany's Graduation.

Just hanging out at Altitudes in Flag

My Brother and his new girlfriend, she's a keeper!

Dinner with friends,
where Becca and I made these amazing burgers from Pioneer Woman
(props to Tracy for the recipe)

Willie signed us up for guitar lessons for my birthday,
This was my attempt to be artistic with our strings.

Easter Came!
I had this idea to walk from my house to Grandma's for dinner,
you know, burn some calories before the feast, my brothers were not really into it.
My mother doing a fine job of presenting the Easter spread,
and yes, italians have pasta with EVERYTHING.
The guys eating Easter dinner, hmmm
I just realized the resemblence between my grandma's living room
and the set of the Golden Girls.

My cute little itailan grandma, she cooked all day.

My Birthday picnic with my best friends and their cute kiddos
Thanks my BFFs, the food was so good.

A slumber party for my nieces

Of course there was fort making!
